  三星急起直追 台半导体产业链欠整合   (2011-12-06)

尽管三星电子(SamsungElectronics)与苹果(Apple)在手机和平板电脑等市场处于竞争关系,但三星近年来在晶圆代工等半导体领域大有斩获,包括苹果、高通(Qualcomm)等都是客户,台湾在晶圆及封测全球市占率分别达60~70%和50%以上,具绝对优势,半导体业者认为,台湾半导体产业链没道理在苹果订单上会赢不了三星,其关键在于台湾供应链欠缺整合,而目前台积电应是扮演整合平台最佳角色。
  
  三星在晶圆代工起步较晚,尽管与苹果在手机及平板电脑市场竞争,但三星在晶圆代工仍有所斩获,包括苹果、高通和赛灵思(Xilinx)等都是其客户,而台湾晶圆代工市占率60~70%,稳居全球首位,光是台积电便占有逾50%晶圆代工市场;在封测委外市场,台湾亦达到50%市占率,拥有全球第1大厂日月光及第3大厂矽品等。
  
  半导体业者认为,台湾半导体势力庞大,却未能追过三星、大啃苹果订单,令人匪夷所思,其关键在于没有业者可建立平台,整合台湾供应链,建立一元化服务。
  
  观察三星优势在于从过去与苹果合作进行创新设计,借此取得不少专利权,另外,三星过去在政府支持下,从晶圆、记忆体、封测到系统端等一元化服务,确实对终端品牌?廙嵝膇l引力,若依苹果、三星合作模式套用在台湾电子供应链,首先面临问题恐怕就是没有厂商足以领导产品定位、技术发展。
  
  过去台湾电子产业讲求垂直分工,由于产品设计、电路设计等皆建立标准化,各厂可单打独斗,然此一模式已不堪用,因为现在讲求创新、差异化,已无标准化可言?b导体业者表示,台积电日前表明将从晶圆代工到高阶封测端提供一元化服务,但若是以满足部分在后段需求量较小客户,这是可理解的,但要对抗三星、切进苹果供应链,仍是力有未迨。
  
  封测业者认为,综观半导体产业,台积电确实具大哥风范,最适合挺身而出、提供平台,从晶圆代工、IC设计、封测到系统端逐一整合,以台湾产业链完整优势,没有道理会输给三星。三星能够做到整合模式,台厂也能做到,台湾记忆体产业已风雨飘摇,面板产业也每况愈下,半导体业再不进行整合,恐怕会是下一个被三星追过的领域,但整合不能靠政府,还是要靠在产业链的各家厂商。
